Megyn Kelly seated in hearing room for Pete Hegseth hearing
Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly was seated near the front of a U.S. Senate hearing room on Tuesday as former Fox News host Pete Hegseth was grilled by lawmakers.
Kelly was seen in the second row of the hearing room as Hegseth, President-elect Trump’s pick to be Secretary of Defense, took questions from senators about his views on military strategy and allegations of misconduct.
“Guess who’s in DC for the Pete Hegseth confirmation hearing?” Kelly wrote in a social media post alongside a photo of her and attorney Abigail Finan. “Should be an exciting day!”
Kelly has been one of Hegseth’s most vocal supporters in conservative media since his nomination, which has been thrown into doubt as he faces a slew of allegations about his drinking, financial mismanagement and treatment of women.
A former Fox host herself, Kelly hosted Hegseth for a wide-ranging interview on her SiriusXM radio show and podcast just days after the allegations against him were first publicized.
